Charlottetown, PE – 3 Points Aviation will be a new major partner with KidSport here on PEI in 2018.  The aerospace leader in sales, manufacturing, repair and overhaul will contribute significant funds to support the program in the province.

KidSport is a national charity with a local chapter on PEI.  Families with low income can apply for grants that, if approved, go towards registration and/or equipment to participate in organized sport.  KidSport PEI needs to raise approximately $160,000 a year, in order to aid everyone who applies, and meets the approval criteria.  This can be quite a challenge for the organization. “We work very hard to raise funds for the KidSport program here on PEI” says Sport PEI President Ryan Innis. “An unfortunate reality is that in the past few years, we haven’t been able to keep up with the demand”. “We are always looking for ways to create partnerships, that will increase the funds available for grants, and organizations like 3 Points Aviation make a big difference in our efforts”.

In recent past, KidSport has received roughly 650 grant applications a year, that meet the criteria needed for approval.  The approval is based on family income levels and yearly funds raised by the program. 3 Points Aviation is excited to help close the gap between annual funds raised, and the amount needed to cover all approved applicants. “On behalf of 3 Points Aviation we are excited about this new partnership,” said Dianne Griffin from 3 Points Aviation. “We look forward to assisting in the continuing success of the KidSport program here on PEI. We believe every child deserves a chance to make their dreams come true and we are pleased that we can be a part of this wonderful program.

3 Points Aviation joins several other organizations in the major donor category on PEI, who share the belief that no child should be left on the sideline because of the cost of sport. These partners include DP Murphy Hotels and Resorts, United Way of PEI, Daryl K. Seaman Canadian Hockey Fund, the local annual Cooking for KidSport fundraiser and longtime supporter Lorie Kane.
