Lyons Competing at Canadian Junior Championships

P.E.I. speed skater William Lyons is competing at the Canadian Junior Short Track Championships in Sherbrooke, QC this weekend. Lyons is the first Island male to qualify for the Championships since Scott Beamish earned a berth and captured tenth place in 2011.  Jenna Larter (2019) and Carly Connell (2014) have competed for the Island in the female field in recent years.  Lyons qualified for this year’s event based on his results at the Short Track...

Baseball PEI and ADL honoured the provinces top baseball athletes and contributors from 2021 at the Silver Fox Entertainment Complex in Summerside, November 23rd, 2021. Baseball PEI had a tremendous season, culminating with their provincial championships hosted across PEI. Festival and Events Stability Program

The new Festival and Events Stability Program (FESP) will provide financial assistance to festival and event organizers to help offset costs associated with the need to comply with COVID-19 health and safety protocols. Speed Skate PEI will play host to the 29th annual Atlantic Cup Speed Skating Championships at Charlottetown’s Eastlink Centre this weekend. Sport PEI is a non-profit sport federation under the guidance of a volunteer Board of Directors and professional staff, representing more than 50 member sport organizations within Prince Edward Island.

We were created in 1973, by government, to provide support and assistance to the provincial sport governing bodies. We do not govern sport, nor are we are we a funder of sport.

Our Vision: We believe that all Islanders should have the opportunity to participate, compete and excel in sport.
