April 1 – Changes to Make Ethical Decisioins

NCCP Make Ethical Decisions – Important Changes Coming

Overview & Rationale

Changes Coming to NCCP Make Ethical Decisions (MED)

  • MED training and evaluation will be combined into one eLearning module available in The Locker.
  • All facilitated delivery methods (in‑person, virtual-synchronous, home study) will be discontinued.
  • After April 1, 2026, the current online evaluation will no longer be available.
  • All training and evaluation will occur within the new NCCP MED eLearning module.

Why This Change? (CAC)

  • Increasing shift toward eLearning across Canada.
  • Improved consistency across the NCCP.
  • Greater accessibility, simpler delivery, and stronger program impact.
  • Ensures all coaches receive the same content and evaluation method.
  • Prevents duplication — several sports had created their own versions; now there will be one unified MED module.

Key Timelines (Page 1 Summary)

  • January 5, 2026: Partners begin messaging coaches to finish current evaluation.
  • March 2, 2026: Locker pop‑up & reminder email for mid‑stream coaches.
  • March 15, 2026: Final day of all facilitated MED training.
  • March 31, 2026 (11:59 PM PT): Deadline to complete current evaluation.
  • April 1, 2026: Launch of the new NCCP MED eLearning module.
