Island Coaches Attend 2023 ACC

Four Island Coaches took in the 2023 Atlantic Coaches Conference in Halifax in May.

Swimming Coach Tom Ponting highlights were around change – personal and professional. “The “life hacks” to re-invigorate imagination, passion and remove excuses was invaluable to me. Overcoming the “paralysis of analysis” and the lack of progress against a daunting stack of obstacles is within reach now. As always, the interaction with other professional coaches was fun and informative.”

2023 Team PEI Biathlon Head Coach Caitlin Campbell attended and commented that, “As I am in the process of transitioning from one chapter of my coaching journey into another with a lot of new things on the horizon for me, the discussions around “change” led by Judy Riege were just what I needed!”

Cross Country/Biathlon Coach Judy Hale was glad to be back in person, “I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to attend the Atlantic Coaching Conference again this year.  The keynote speaker, Judy Riege, was able to pull me forward into the “what does better look like mindset” and helped me work through some real life challenges with a very handy template that I can use now and in the future.  The conference vibe was energetic and empowering – I love that!  Thanks to Sport PEI for the ongoing support.”
