Scott Chandler – 1992 – Gymnastics

Scott Chandler won the Lieutenant Governor’s award in 1992 for his accomplishments in the sport of gymnastics. Chandler was awarded the Roland Michener Canada Games Award, which is handed out to an athlete that best exemplifies athletic ability, strong leadership qualities, and academic excellence. In 1992, Scott also competed in the uber competitive U18 category where he would earn himself a national gold medal, as well as becoming the first ever person from Prince Edward Island to be named to the junior national team for gymnastics.
