2026 Squash PEI Awards Results

By Andrew Avery

Charlottetown PE – It was an evening to highlight record breaking moments and athletic achievements as Squash PEI hosted its Annual General Meeting & Awards Banquet on Wednesday, April 22 at the PEI Brewing Company in Charlottetown.

Squash PEI President J.F. Vincent-Rocan proudly highlighted membership reached 240 members during the 2025-2026 season, an increase from the previous season credited to significant growth in junior programming from many coaches, women in squash initiatives which is championed by Seana Evans-Renaud, and a new student run club at the University of Prince Edward Island spearheaded by Shema Ruboneka.

All tournaments and leagues showed an increase in participation, including a Canadian record set for the 2026 Mill River Open in January for selling out in 3 minutes and 52 seconds. Also highlighted was the PEI Diva Tournament, as 58 participants from across the Maritimes participated in a weekend full of excellent competition and took in an Exhibition Challenge with local player Emma Jinks facing reigning Canadian Women’s Champion and PSA Professional player Nicole Bunyan.

All awards were sponsored by Amalgamated Dairies Limited (ADL), a proud supporter of Sport PEI and amateur sport in Prince Edward Island.
