Paul Trainor Memorial Scholarships

These scholarships are in memory of Paul Trainor.

Paul Trainor was a graduate of Colonel Gray High School, the University of Prince Edward Island, Saint Mary’s University and the Atlantic Police Academy at Holland College.

The scholarship is valued at $1000.

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria
• Must be graduating from a Prince Edward Island High School;
• Must be attending UPEI or Holland College;
• Have maintained an average of 65% or above;
• Must be entering 1st year at a post-secondary institution in the fall of the current year as a full-time student.

This scholarship is currently unavailable for the 2024 school year. If it is renewed, we will advertise the application details on our website, newsletters, and social media channels.

Please provide a personal essay on why you should be considered for the scholarship. The essay should include, but is not limited to:

– what sport means to you,
– description of your sports attitude,
– a demonstration of your financial need, and
– why Paul Trainor’s story is meaningful to you.
