Sept. 1 – Cornwall Cougars 18UAA wins Atlantic Baseball Championships in Newfoundland with 5-0 record.

Sept. 6 – Softball PEI names roster for 2025 Summer Canada Games – Ailah MacDonald, Ava Holder, Bella McNeill, Carly Gauthier, Celia Conohan, Chloe Moore, Emily Gardinar, Emma King, Emmalee McGuigan, Keeley Doucette, Leah MacLean, Lily Gallany, Madelyn MacLean, Rebekah McGeoghegan, and Solen Trainor

Sept. 8 – Megan Moase wins bronze medal at the International Powerlifting Federation Championships (84+) and set new national records for squat (187.5 kg), deadlift (200 kg), and total (472.5 kg).

Sept. 8 – Etta Reid, Myrna Craswell, and Myrna Sanderson win gold in Ladies’ Triples at the 2024 Atlantic Lawn Bowling Championships.

Sept. 10 – Joelle Bader selected to join Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite Academy, an official Canada Soccer National Development Centre (NDC) in Burnaby, BC.

Sept. 11 – Quebec Major Junior Hockey League promotes Jack Robinson to a Referee and hire Jarrod MacAdam as a linesman

Sept. 12 – J.P. Richard wins gold in Master 1 under-93 kg for ages 40 to 49 at Canadian Powerlifting Championships. Heather Ayles wins silver in the equipped Master 2 57-kilo female class.

Sept. 15 – Amber MacLeod finishes Abbott World Marathon Majors in Sydney, Australia with time of 3:15:48; 185th of 6503 female runners and 42nd of 731 runners in her age category.

Sept. 15 – Tom Yorke finishes tied for 34th and Cameron King finishes tied for 72nd at the Canadian Men’s Senior Golf Championships in Port Elgin, ON.

Sept. 15 – Jillian Perry wins gold, Cecile Gallant wins silver, Mark Steele wins silver, Carter Weeks wins bronze, and Cory Jay wins bronze in their respective age categories at the Wentworth Downhill Series and Grey Mountain Cross Country in Nova Scotia

Sept. 16 – Hunter Burke qualifies for the Golf Canada National Junior Skills Competition in Mississauga, Ontario.

Sept. 17 – Annik Whiten of Holland College rugby named ACAA Athlete of the Week

Sept. 21 – Joel Gallant of St. Francis Xavier cross-country team finishes second place in STFX 8K Invitational.

Sept. 25 – PEI Senior Islanders win the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League championship for second consecutive season, defeating the Moncton Mets in six games.

Sept. 26 – Isa MacPhee, Megan Mossey, Taylor Hunter, and Petra Klimes named to Team Atlantic in New Brunswick this November at the National Under-18 Female Hockey Championship.

Sept. 26 – Baseball PEI names 16U girls roster for 2025 Canada Games (debut of female baseball): Adalyn Gallant, Adriana MacKinnon, Annaliese Martin, Ava Bradley, Cameron MacKinnon, Chloe Walker, Elsie Chen, Emma Campbell, Kyla Hughes, Hayden Croken, Helen Arbing, Holli Currie, Isabella Acorn, Rachel Frizzell, Sadie Hughes, and Shayla Johnston

Sept. 28 – Riley Bissett officially commits to Detroit Mercy University Titan Lacrosse; first PEI athlete and second from all Atlantic provinces to commit to NCAA Division 1 lacrosse.

Sept. 28 – Eamonn Mullen (youth kata male) and Nishta Gokul (cadet kata female) win silver medals and Emelie Farrell (youth kata female) wins bronze at Atlantic Karate Open in Moncton, NB.

Sept. 29 – Bluefield Bobcats AAA girls volleyball and Colonel Gray Colonels AAA boys volleyball win Cobequid Education Centre Cougars Classic tournament in Truro, NS; first PEI girls team to win the tournament.

Sept. 29 – Hunters Corner Charlottetown Rugby Football Club (CRFC) Mudmen win McCurdy Cup as Nova Scotia Division 1 Men’s Rugby League champions for second straight season, earn berth in the 101st Caledonia Cup (Maritime championship) against the Fredericton Loyalists.
