Oct. 5 – Megan Mossey (Class of 2027) commits to University of Minnesota women’s hockey team (NCAA D1).

Oct. 6 – Noah Potter (men’s football) has been named Acadia University male athlete of the week following 118-yard performance against StFX.

Oct. 12 – Team PEI U14 Female earn silver, U15 Male win bronze at Atlantic Challenge Cup (hockey).

Oct. 12 – UPEI men’s baseball team wins ACBA Championship in inaugural season.

Oct. 13 – U17 Girls PEI FC earns silver medal at Canada Soccer National Championships.

Oct. 15 – Sarah MacEachern named Co-Captain of Cornell University Big Red women’s hockey team.

Oct. 18 – Luc Gallant (Male Full Marathon – 2:28:41), Quixote Froese (Male 5K- 15:53) and Lindsay Lamrock (Female 5K – 16:57) set event records at PEI Marathon weekend

Oct. 19 – UPEI Panthers win fourth-straight Atlantic University Field Hockey championship; advances to U Sports National Championships as host and Atlantic champion.

Oct. 20 – Noah Potter (men’s football) named Acadia University Athlete of the Week for second time in three weeks following 129-yard, one-touchdown performance against Mount Allison. Finishes freshman season as Acadia’s leading rusher and fourth-leading rusher in AUS.

Oct. 20 – Heidi Lauwerijssen (Women’s Soccer) named AUS & UNB Athlete of the Week following two-goal performance against Universite de Moncton.

Oct. 20 – Billy McGuigan named associate coach on Team Canada East Staff for the 2025 World Junior A Challenge

Oct. 21- StFX’s Katie Murphy wins AUS Rugby Student-Athlete Community Service Award; second straight season award won by PEI player (Mia Fradsham, UPEI – 2024)

Oct. 21 – UPEI’s Kayla Batchilder named Atlantic University Field Hockey Most Valuable Player and First-Team All-Star. Kali Smith and Livi Lawlor also named AUFH All-Stars.

Oct. 22 – Heidi Lauwerijssen (UNB) and Benjamin Hashimoto (Dalhousie) named AUS Soccer Second-Team All-Stars.

Oct. 23 – Jenna Larter earns bronze medal in the 500m and sets a new Personal Best of 38.24s at the National Long Track Speed Skate Championships.

Oct. 24 – Holland College’s Kristyn Taylor and Georgia Doucette named ACAA women’s soccer First-team All-Stars; Jorja Shields and Liv MacDougall named Second-Team All-Stars. Jonathan Vos wins Coach of the Year award.

Oct. 24Carson Crawford (Holland College) and Gus MacEwen (Dalhousie) named ACAA men’s soccer First-Team All-Stars; Colby Munro (Holland College) named Second-Team All-Stars.

Oct. 25 – Kennah Brant named recipient of the Regional Tom Longboat Award by the Aboriginal Sport Circle.

Oct. 26 – Alex Rogers (Dalhousie) named AUS Cross Country First-Team All-Star; UPEI’s Luc Doucette and Joel Gallant named Second-Team All-Stars.

Oct. 29 – UPEI’s Lacey MacLauchlan named U Sports Field Hockey Coach of the Year; Kayla Batchilder named to U Sports All-Canadian team.
