June 1 – U15 Whitecaps win the first leg of the Atlantic Softball Series, defeat New Brunswick 3-1 in final.

June 1 – Canada Games softball team wins first place at Richard Pettipas Memorial Tournament. 

June 1 – PEI Canada Games men’s rugby team finishes second at the Atlantic Test Event in St. John’s, losing to Quebec 17-10 in the final; Women’s CG team finishes fifth.

June 1 – Amy Burk and Team Canada win the bronze medal at the Malmo Lady Intercup women’s goalball tournament, defeating Team USA 5-2 in the bronze match.

June 2 – Gordie Dwyer named Head Coach and General Manager of the Newfoundland Regiment of the QMJHL.

June 3 – Brandon Langley of Western Carolina University baseball named to the 2025 Academic All-District Baseball Team.

June 6 – Mia Gallant and Annika Saulnier selected as part of 68 athletes to attend Ringette Canada’s annual La Relève U17 event.

June 7 – Jase MacPherson (Saint John Sea Dogs) and Drew Murphy (Cape Breton Eagles) drafted in the second round of the Quebec Maritime Junior Hockey League.

June 8 – Team PEI golf wins Women’s Maritime Cup Championship.

June 9 – Ten PEI players selected in the 2025 MHL Entry Draft – Drew Murphy (3rd round – Summerside Western Capitals), Dylan MacLean (4th – Valley Wildcats), Max MacKenzie (6th – Valley), Jake Kelly (7th – Miramichi Timberwolves), York Bystryk (8th – Chaleur Lightning), Jace MacPherson (8th – Summerside), Parker MacDonald (9th – Valley), Ryan Doyle (9th – Summerside), Cole Dowling (10th – Summerside), and Thomas MacPhee (10th – Edmundston Blizzard).

June 12 – JD Gilmour receives National Star Pathway Coach Award, Cassandra Mosher-Gallant receives a National Volunteer Award, and the Charlottetown Skating Club receives a National Club/School Award from Skate Canada.

June 14 – Charlottetown Islanders defenceman Max Jardine named CHL Humanitarian of the Year for his work with local organizations like Special Olympics, Make-A-Wish, and Crime Stoppers.

June 14 – Gardiner MacDougall of Moncton Wildcats named CHL Coach of the Year.

June 15 – U15 Team PEI boys basketball wins Summerslam Tournament in Charlottetown with 4-0 record.

June 18 – Six PEI athletes named ACAA Academic All-Canadians – Amanda MacBain (Crandall Volleyball), Alexa Rancourt (Holland Basketball), Carson Gray (Holland Volleyball), Jenna O’Neill (Holland Volleyball), Hayden Chaisson (Holland Soccer), and Marie Fogarty (Mount Allison Volleyball).

June 18 – Charlottetown’s Eastlink Centre announced as host for 2027 Scotties Tournament of Hearts curling championship.

June 22 – Martin Sobey finished 26th at the World Triathlon Cup Huatulco – Mexico.

June 22 – Brian Deveau and Dan McCarthy competed in the sprint duathlon at World Multisport Championships in Pontevedra, Spain. Deveau finished 40th in the 65-69 age group with a time of 1:35:04, sixth place among Canadians in his age group. McCarthy finished fifth on the run legs, sixth on the bike leg, and 7th overall in the 75-79 age group. His time of 1:28:24 placed him as top North American in his age group.

June 22 – Nicholas DesRoche assigned to the side judge position for the 17U Flag Football gold medal games at the Junior International Cup in Los Angeles.

June 22 – U18 Female ‘Island Tide’ flag football wins East Coast Games Flag Football Championship.

June 24 – Abby Hustler selected 14th overall in the PWHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Frost; first PEI player to be drafted into the PWHL.

June 28 – Vanessa Keefe wins gold at the Canadian Non-Olympic Wrestling Championships in the Senior Women’s 72kg category and silver at the U23 Canadian Championships.

June 28 – Will Murphy (Detroit Red Wings) and Dawson Sharkey (Dallas Stars) selected in the 6th round of the NHL Entry Draft.

June 29 – U15 Whitecaps softball wins gold at Quebec Invitational in Chateauguay.
