April 5 – Keely MacGrath wins gold in the U17 division and silver in U19 division at Alberta Open (wrestling). Udan Pamunuwe earns bronze in the U17 division.

April 6 – Team PEI figure skating captures record-setting 5 medals at the 2025 Atlantic Canada Skating Championships. Yangman (Emma) Li earns gold in Pre-Juvenile Women U11 and silver in STAR 7 Women U14, Peilin (Penny) Song earns silver in Juvenile Women U12 and bronze in STAR 9 Women, and Phoebe Liu earns bronze in STAR 5 Women 13&O.

April 6 – U16 Western Rebels win Maritime U16 AAA hockey Championship.

April 6 – Eastern Stars win U18 Major Female Atlantic Hockey Championship; advance to Esso Cup (national championship) in Lloydminster, Alberta. Avery MacPhee named top forward award and Kali MacDonald wins MVP award.

April 6 – Brett Gallant wins bronze medal at World Men’s Curling Championship as part of Team Jacobs.

April 6 – Joelle Bader scores to help Team Canada U17 Women’s Soccer team defeat Puerto Rico and advance to the U17 FIFA World Cup Morocco 2025 in October-November.

April 6 – PEI wrestlers earn a total of 9 medals at NB Open. Alexsa Matheson wins gold in Cadet 61kg division.

April 6 – Elaine Hughes and Etta Reid earn silver in the women’s division at the 2025 Canadian Stick Curling Championships held in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

April 12 – Tia MacNeill of Mid Isle Wildcats named Top Forward and Lauren Kenny wins Player’s Choice Award at the Atlantic U13AAA Female Championships

April 13 – U13 AAA Female Mid-Isle Wildcats earn silver at the Atlantic Hockey Championship

April 13 – U13 AAA Pownal Devils win gold at Atlantic Hockey Championships in Newfoundland.

April 13 – Charlottetown Bluephins swimmers combine for 19 medals at East Coast Swimming championships. Ivy Ban, Erik Thompson, Luke Ostridge, Andrew Sauer, Keegan MacDougall, and Avery Fleischhauer set new PEI records.

April 14 – Cam Squires of Cape Breton Eagles called up by New Jersey Devils organization to play with the Utica Comets of the AHL; scores in first period of debut game on April 16.

April 20 – U14 Wave and U16 Edge finish with silver medals at Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships.

April 20Lacey MacLauchlan leads U16 Team Canada field hockey to a 1-2-1 record against Czechia with only loss coming against U18 team in debut as head coach. Charleigh MacDougall plays on U16 roster and Haylee MacDonald competes as part of U18 team in exhibition matches against Wales.

April 23 – Tanner Doiron officiates at the IIHF World U18 Men’s Hockey Championship in Texas.

April 24 – U18 Eastern Stars finish 5th at Esso Cup – Hockey Canada Club Nationals.

April 27 – Zander O’Meara (U19 – 45kg) and Keely MacGrath (U17 – 65kg) win gold medals at the National Wrestling Championships. Peyton Burke (46kg), Alexsa Matheson (57kg), and Willow Van Iderstine (69kg) each earn bronze medals.

April 28 – Lia MacQuarrie commits to UNB Reds women’s volleyball team.

April 28 – PEI gymnasts compete at Atlantic Gymnastics Championships in St. John’s and return with 7 athletes winning gold medals – Drew Miller (u10), Annika MacDonald (Xcel 2012), Natalya Haddad (Xcel Diamond), Ella Miller (L6 novice), Finnegan Chandler (u10), Allie MacPherson (L8 2011-2012), and Liam Dunn (U13 AA)

April 29 – Nick Desroche named to officiating crew at Under-16 East Football Canada Championships

April 30 – Kevin Elliott named Athletic Therapist for Team Canada at the 2025 IIHF World Championship.
