Physical Literacy Summit A Success!
L-R: Coach Reed Maltbie, Cindy Levesque, Sport PEI’s Jared Murphy, and Dr. Dean Kriellaars
Charlottetown, PE – Thanks to all who attended PEI’s first ever Physical Literacy Summit and made it a success.
Our keynote speakers did not disappoint.
Dr. Dean Kriellaars has helped pioneer programs and explained the who, what, when and why’s of physical literacy. Attendees got to experience several activities hands on which also added to the fun!
Coach Reed Maltbie captured our attention with “Building a Player-First Environment in Youth Sports” and “Leadership Secrets of the World Best Coaches”.
Thanks also goes out to Cindy Levesque, from Physical Literacy NB, who presented and helped with the organization of the Summit. We would also like to recognize our local contributors to the event:
Laura MacPherson, FMS/High Five facilitator
Dr. Travis Saunders, UPEI Kinesiology
Jacob Smith, Eastern Region Sport and Recreation Council
Tracy Stevenson, ParaSport and Recreation PEI
Matthew McNally, Special Olympics PEI
