Katie Baker PEI’s Newest KidSport Ambassador

KidSportPEI is pleased to announce that, Argyle Shore native, Katie Baker is joiningthe list of outstanding Island athletes who are advocating for KidSport.  As the former Canadian Women’s field hockeyteam captain, with 114 caps to her name, Katie retired from her nationalteam duties in 2012.  While competing,she was one of the most respected athletes in the game.  Her passion, commitment and leadership aresome of the qualities that make Katie an amazing role model.

Team KidSport PEI was formed in the summer of 2016, to help promote the programthat aids so many Island youth get in the game. In 2016 alone, KidSport PEI distributed over $150,000 to 650 youth.   All of these funds need to be raised byKidSport PEI on an annual basis, which makes the awareness of the program veryimportant.

Katie is looking forward to helping the KidSport program on PEI, along with herfellow KidSport PEI Ambassadors.
