International Women’s Day luncheon
Monday, March 8th was International Women’s Day, and we couldn’t let the day go by without celebrating. We planned a luncheon at the PEI Brewing Company for 20 local women to talk, eat, and learn from each other. We had several items from Canadian Women in Sport to give out to the women, and we also featured our latest “She’s Got It All” campaign’s posters. Hannah Taylor, one of the featured athletes in the campaign, attended the event and was able to speak about what her poster means to her.
There was great conversation throughout lunch, with new connections made and laughs shared.
Thanks to everyone who joined us, we had a fantastic time celebrating!
The event was made possible due to the support from the 2009 Canada Games Legacy Fund and the Sport Partnership and Engagement Program, a project of the Sport Participation Bilateral which is jointly funded by the Province of PEI (Department of Health and Wellness) and the Federal Government (Canadian Heritage – Sport Canada).
