2021 Ringette PEI ADL Awards
Ringette PEI and ADL honoured the provinces top athletes and contributors from the 2021 season at the North Rustico Lion’s Club on, May 19th, 2022.
Although they once again had a COVID related shutdown causing another unusual season, it was still a season worth celebrating. Many of their teams at the house league and the high-performance level did get the opportunity to participate in tournaments and exhibition games off Island this season. The U16 and U19 Wave participated at Nationals in Calgary, AB. The Eastern Canadian Championships in Dartmouth, NS was attended by the U14 Wave and Edge, the U16 and U19 Edge as well as an 18+ team.
All of these highlights were made possible because of the coaches, volunteers, officials, parents, and athletes who followed guidelines put in place by Public Health and went above and beyond to keep the ringette environment safe for everyone! Without everyone’s cooperation and commitment, it would not have been possible.
Sport PEI would like to thank ADL for their constant support of amateur sport on PEI! Congratulations to Ringette PEI and all of the winners on a successful 2021 season and we wish them the best of luck in 2022!
